FIREFLY FR Intumescent Acrylic
FIREFLY™ FR Intumescent Acrylic is a water based sealant, used to provide a fire-rated seal to joints, gaps and around penetrations, tested to BS EN 1363-3 and BS EN 1363-4.
Product Description
FIREFLYTM FR Intumescent Acrylic Sealant must be used when installing a FIREFLYTM FB180 Batt system, in order to provide a tested and certified solution.
The sealant should be applied to all cuts, joints and exposed edges of the FB180 Batt, as well as around penetrations. FIREFLY Ablative Coating may additionally be used.
FIREFLYTM FR Intumescent Acrylic Sealant is also suitable as a linear joint seal in various substrates, including concrete, softwood, hardwood, steel, and gypsum board.

• Integral component of a tested FIREFLYTM FB180 Ablative Batt system • Forms a fire and smoke seal in linear joints up to 35mm wide
• Suitable for penetration seals around metal pipes
• Flexible formulation, tolerates movement of up to +/- 12.5%
• Acoustic testing to BS EN 10140-2, offers a 55dB sound reduction
