Envirograf HW02N Clear Intumescent Coating
HW02N is a water-based product that MUST have a protective top sealer coat applied. Once coated, HW02N will last the life of the
top coat. If the top coat is re-applied at the end of the cycle, HW02N will continue to offer fire protection for life. If applying to a black
surface, you must apply a black top coat.
Product Description
Envirograf HW02N system offers a clear, intumescent coating, for upgrading new and certain already coated timber and wood related surfaces (contact the Technical Department to check the suitability of your substrate). Envirograf HW02N Clear Intumescent Coating is to be used as part of a complete system including selected primers and topcoats and is a water based product that can be used internally and externally to provide BS Class 0 & Class 1 as well as up to 60 minute protection for wood and certain wood related products (see product data sheets and test data for full details).

Notes:
Envirograf HW02N Clear Intumescent Coating needs to be upturned for 4 minutes, then add 5% water and stir thoroughly for five minutes. In cold weather it can go slightly thick, stand the container in hot water and stir it well – it will then go to a paint consistency. When applying Envirograf HW02N Clear Intumescent Coating ensure then area is warm and dry, NOT COLD & DAMP.
When you are ready to use Envirograf HW02N Clear Intumescent Coating add all of the additive to the contents of the tin and then mix thoroughly before use. The shelf life is 6 months from batch date before mixing but only 3 months when the additive has been mixed in.
Envirograf HW02N Clear Intumescent Coating cannot provide 30 or 60min protection on MDF, only BS Class 0 & Class 1.
Minimum timber thicknesses apply for 30min and 60 minute protection - consult the product data sheets, test reports and Technical Department before proceeding.
Seek approval from the relevant authority for this product/system including test data prior to purchase/use (test data available upon request).
NOT for use on MDF for 30 or 60min protection.

Product Performance
Classification B/S1/d0 of European Standard EN13501 Parts EN13823 (2002) single burn test (SBI) and EN11925-2 (2002) ignitability. Timber doors tested to BS476 Part 22 (1987) giving 30 & 60 minutes fire protection and insulation.
